Clear Property
The Clear property is located in the Sonoma Range, Pershing County, Nevada, approximately 30 miles south of the town of Winnemucca. The property consists of 6 claims (120 acres) owned 100% by Nevada Mine Properties II, Inc. (NMP).
The property and surrounding area has been explored by Cominco, WX Syndicate, Bow Valley and Mine Finders over the last 25 years. The work includes geologic mapping, rock and soil sampling, and drilling.
The property is believed to lie along a segment of the Golconda Thrust at the southerly end of the Getchell Trend. Anomalous to ore grade gold in surface rock chip samples have been collected from jasperoid and stock work quartz veins within the property boundary.
Gold values up to 8.5 g/t Au have been collected at surface within a complex set of stacked thrusts and a younger northwesterly trending, southwesterly dipping normal fault (“F” Fault). The F Fault can be traced for over 7,500 feet through various alteration features including jasperoid, iron oxides, copper oxide and fluorite veins. The fault juxtaposes quartz monzonite on the east against Cambrian Harmony, Ordovician Valmy and Permian Havallah Formations.
The main target (F Target) is partially defined by thirty-six shallow, vertical holes (deepest 300’) for a total of 6,742’ (average of 187 feet per hole). These holes were drilled along the F Fault between 1986 and 1988. Drill intercepts include CL-86-1 which intersected 0.653 opt gold from 60 to 70 feet. Five additional holes drilled near hole C86-1 provide a basis for a small resource calculation of ~20,000 tons grading 0.19 opt gold (above 100’ depth) using a polygonal method. Gold mineralization is characterized by jasperoid, quartz veining, and strong silicification of an argillite host. All holes were vertical and only three peripheral holes have been conducted since 1988 near this target. Three additional, regional post-1988 holes intersected up to 1.51 g/t Au/5’ and 6.8 g/t Ag over 45’ complimented by 2,500 ppm As over 45’ and 130 ppm Sb over 20’. None of the post-1988 holes reached or tested the feeder F fault zone.
Although the F Fault can be traced along strike in both directions, drilling has explored only 10% of this mineralized fault to depths of 300’ or less.
Structure-controlled fluorite veining, silicification, jasperoid, and copper oxide found in and along the F fault are believed to have been sourced from the sericitized quartz monzonite to the east. Shallow prospects followed intrusive-hosted quartz-calcite veins-structure-jasperoid. The intrusive-F fault contact has never been drilled nor have dilation zones within or lithologic contacts at the F fault.
The Clear project represents a partially explored property with strongly mineralized, ore-grade gold values untested below 300’ depth.
